School of Behavioral & Neural Sciences Doctoral in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) Scholarship Program San Juan University Center In celebration of the opening of our new extension University Center in San Juan, PHSU will award eight (8) scholarships that will cover 50% of the students’ tuition for the duration of the academic program, equivalent of five years. Four of the scholarships will be merit based, and will be awarded to students who have demonstrated exceptional academic accomplishments in their undergraduate studies.  The remaining four scholarships will be need based, and will be awarded to qualified students who have demonstrated financial need.

These scholarships will be awarded for commencement in January 2018

The merit based scholarships will be awarded based on the following criteria:

• Have submitted all of the documents and meet the admission requirements for the PsyD, University Center in San Juan
• Have been admitted to the program as well as have submitted written acceptance to the program
• Possess a GPA of 3.25 on a scale of 4.00 from their bachelors
• If you have a master’s degree, your GPA must be equal or greater than 3.50
• GRE 290 or higher or EXADEP of 475
• Have received an excellent evaluation on your admission interview to the program
• Maintain a satisfactory academic progress (including professional conduct) and a minimum GPA of 3.50 during the course of your academic program

The need based scholarships will be awarded based on the following criteria:

• Student must comply with the same criterios as the merit based scholarship
• Present evidence of your economic situation

The scholarships will be awarded based on the strict fulfillment with the criteria stated above and will be selected by a committee of three people designated by the Dean of the School of Behavioral and Neural Sciences of PHSU. At the end of each semester, the status of each scholarship recipient will be revised to reconfirm his or her eligibility.

 Becas Programa Doctoral en Psicología Clínica (PsyD) Centro Universitario de San Juan

Para celebrar el comienzo del Centro Universitario de San Juan, PHSU otorgará ocho (8) becas que cubrirán el 50% de los costos de matrícula por los cinco años que dura el programa académico. Cuatro de las becas se otorgarán a base de mérito, y a las otras cuatro se añade el requisito de necesidad económica.

Estas becas serán otorgados a estudiantes de nuevo ingreso al programa para enero de 2018.

Las becas de mérito  se otorgarán a base de los siguientes criterios:

• Haber sometido todos los documentos y cumplir con todos los requisitos de admisión al programa PsyD, Centro de San Juan.
• Haber sido admitido y aceptado por escrito su admisión al programa
• Poseer un índice académico de bachillerato de 3.25 en escala de 4.00.
• Si posee un grado de maestría, su índice académico para dicho grado debe ser igual o mayor a 3.50
• Resultados del GRE de 290 o más o resultado del EXADEP desde 475.
• Haber recibido una evaluación sobresaliente en la entrevista de admisión al programa
• Mantener un progreso académico satisfactorio (incluyendo conducta profesional) y un índice académico mínimo de 3.50 durante el transcurso de su programa académico

Las beca de necesidad económica se otorgarán a base de los siguientes criterios:

• Debe cumplir con todo los criterios de la becase de mérito.

• Presentar evidencia de situación económica familiar

Las becas se otorgarán a base del cumplimiento estricto con los anteriores requisitos y serán elegidos por un comité de tres personas designadas por el Decanato de la Escuela de Ciencias Conductuales y Neurales de PHSU. Cada final de semestre se revisará el estatus de cada estudiante becado para reconfirmar su elegibilidad.
